Xing Jiu entered Mirage Hall thirty minutes later, taking the extra time to walk off the excitement of the evening’s activities with Lan Shang before his audience with the King.

Trotwood: Where is everyone? All I see is Jo's red, and I know you guys are watching more than I am. I'm even behind on Sung Swoon because there was too much going on in RL and I needed something crazy instead of Swoonworthy (see below).
JoAnne: I had an advantage - I set up the post this time (it's usually me or Kakashi) but I did it really late this week. Saturday, I think. So others might not have had a chance to make entries yet. I was thinking I hadn't done much but once I started making notes I realized I did pretty well this week.
kakashi: If by "you guys" you, Trotwood, mean me, you are very much mistaken, for I am still not watching anything. Actually, it feels like less than anything. Real life has taken the definition of "totally swamped" to the next level.

Ah, but before I forget: CONGRATS DR. Panda!!!!!!

Bad Thief, Good Thief 도둑놈, 도둑님 - Episode 1 (KimJiCap)

kakashi: My darling Kim Ji-hoon, are you really making me go through hours upon hours of ultra complicated, melodramatic childhood stories? Yes, you are. This shit is pretty dark, people.
SakiVI: This childhood stuff is so irritating when they could've addressed all this in a monologue. And one guy keeps crying to the point I want to slap him.
JoAnne: I guess we're going to go through their WHOLE childhood, since we're starting with them so young. I'm not finding it hard to follow, though.

Shao Wan was extremely proud of herself: she had gone through two days of what they called “diplomatic meetings" without losing her temper, without further angering the God of War (though she was sorely tempted, more than usual after the beach encounter) and without gutting Cheng Yin alive. Yes, she was on her best behavior, and she occasionally looked at Fong Hung over her shoulder seeking his nod of approval for it.

Father Immortal said that since Shao Wan was new to philosophy she and Mo Yuan could study together. “These last few years, Mo Yuan has cultivated patience and stability. He should be a good helpmate,” he concluded, stroking his beard.

As the royal guard fed and watered the horses before their journey, Song Bai watched Ying Kong Shi speaking quietly with Granny and his unruffled companion, dazzling light and shadow dark heads bent together in deep conversation. She was ecstatic that the young ruler had agreed to help their entourage, but the swiftness with which he had changed his mind made her suspicious. What had made him suddenly reverse course, and why had he looked at her so strangely when he had touched her arm? She studied him as he spoke with the old woman, his hands moving with excited gestures. This was the most animated she had seen him since he had first materialized in the forest.

For reasons not entirely clear to the Water King of the Western Seas and his Queen, this year’s White Rock Sea Festival drew a much larger crowd than any of the previous festivals. As usual, they had sent out a generous amount of invitations to this cultural celebration of Realm diversity, expecting many polite refusals. However, more and more immortals had put their name on the guest list this year as the festival drew closer.

kakashi: Sneakily, we hit 9 Mio pageviews over the weekend. Congrats!
Trotwood: I'm slowly coming out of the abyss that is the end of the semester. Memorial Day weekend, I should be back in the thick of things. My non-Korean drama ban is over, but I'm just so tired that I'm still not watching much. I'm not even lying to myself about how I'm going to start stuff I said I wanted to watch (Man to Man, Tunnel) and am just going to watch what I am now and maybe marathon some lakorns on Memorial Day.
JoAnne: I still sort of feel like I'm wrapped in cotton wool. Strange days.
Shuk: I still remember the excitement when we hit 1 million! Thank you, all our lovely squeeglets. mwah mwah!

Shi and Xing Jiu emerged from a burst of churning magical energy into the frozen landscape of Snow Fog forest. Xing Jiu immediately fell forward into the snow, the contents of his stomach ejecting forcefully as he emitted a weak groan. Shi laughed impishly as he patted his advisor on the shoulder. Xing Jiu always got nauseated from his teleportation spells, but Shi was annoyed with his constant meddling. Xing Jiu had wanted to come home, so Shi had granted him his wish. Maybe he would think twice before trying to bribe Shi with Ka Suo’s name in the future.

Shao Wan woke up under a warm blanket, feeling exceptionally well rested despite sleeping on the hard rock surface. The chains from her hands were gone, her body was healed and her head felt fine. Her stomach lurched and then growled loudly when the smell of food wafted through the air.
